Lake Michigan by Bus and Boat Tour
August 23-26, 2012


_On Thursday August 23rd we leave Nationwide Travelers in Appleton at 07:30am.
Travel to Door County to tour Seaquist's Orchard in Sister Bay followed by a genuine Door County Fish Boil! Then we'll head to Harris, MI where we will spend the night and test our luck at the Island Casino and Resort.  Fish Boil is included mead.

_On Friday, August 24th, we become "Uppers" and cross the U.P to Mackinac Island!  We'll cross the Straits on an Arnold Ferry triple-deck catamaran to Mackinac Island ( where there are no buses allowed!!...no motorized vehicles! Only real horse power!!!)  Lunch is a buffet at the Grand Hotel...famous for the filming location of "Somewhere in Time". After lunch there will be a carriage tour of Mackinac Island with time for shopping for that elusive fudge!  Then we'll head back to Mackinaw City where we will spend the night!  It happens to be Corvette weekend when we are there!!  Plenty of room for all those historic Corvettes you might want to buy!!  Grand Hotel Buffet is included meal.

_On Saturday, August 25th, We'll stop briefly in Charlevoix, MI then on to Traverse City for a winery tour and tasting at Chateau Chantal followed by lunch at a micro brewery!!! (The Jolly Pumpkin!)  After lunch we'll head to Ludington, MI for a dune buggy ride! We'll spend the night in Ludington.  Breakfast at Mackinaw City Hotel and lunch at the Jolly Pumpkin is incuded.

_On Sunday August 26th we put the bus on the SS Badger and head out on a 4 hour cruise across Lake Michigan!  Once in Manitowoc the plan is to travel to Green Bay, tour Lambeau Field , and eat at Curly's Pub before heading back to Appleton by late afternoon.  Of course if there is a pre-season football game that day by the repeat World Champion Green Bay Packers!!...we'll have a plan "B".....no Lambeau Field tours the day before or after a home game.  Breakfast and lunch today are included.
